qTwitter 0.7.1: The Twitapocalypse is outta here
June 13th, 2009
Ok, I must admit that I forgot about the whole thing, so called Twitapocalypse. According to what was predicted before and happened a few hours ago, qTwitter 0.7.0 is not updating timelines correctly. A small patch fixed this unwelcome behavior and it was instantly applied, making qTwitter 0.7.1. So please update your app to the newest version that deals with huge IDs of Twitter statuses. Get it, as you always do, from qt-apps.org. Apart from the fix, in 0.7.1 release you’ll get support for digg.com URL shortening service and some look and feel corrections concerning the user info popup dialogs. Happy tweeting :)

great app. works wonderful here.
a question about posting and replying: for that i have to enable the ‘public timeline’; but i don’t really want to receive all the updates from the timeline though. is there a workaround?
second: qtwitter seems to forget already read twitts, when restarting the application, or is it my fault?
thanks,
chris

Hey Chris, that sound reaaally strange that you have to enable public timeline to be able to post replies, I’d say that this can’t be, but please file a bug about this here, but please include information what system are you using, etc. Concerning the second question, this feature is not implemented yet. I’ve been busy with other important things, but I’ll try to do something about it. If you file a feature request for this, I’ll have a nice reminder :) Thanks! Dominik

Hello, are there plans to support other laconi.ca instances besides identi.ca? Probably the user should insert his site manually. The app looks great! Thank you.

Hey,
other laconi.ca servers are considered as future plans, but I can’t tell any specific date for it. I’m about to release 0.8.0 in a few days, and then finally have a vacation :) I’ll try to focus on general laconi.ca support in qTwitter 0.9.0, thanks!
